What we collect, and why.

Ty's Tech is a one-person web design and SEO studio in Freehold, New Jersey. This page explains, in plain English, exactly what happens to your information when you use tystechllc.com. No dark patterns, no data brokers, no surprises.

This is a plain-language description of how this site actually works — not a legal certification. We're a small US business doing our best to be straight with you about our practices. If a specific law applies to you and you need something more formal, email us and we'll work it out directly.

1. What we collect

Only what you type in. There is no account system, no login, and nothing here quietly profiles you in the background.

The contact form

When you send the contact form, we receive:

The free instant audit

You can run the audit without giving us anything. When you paste a website address, that address is sent to our own server function, which fetches that public page and scores it. We don't need your email to show you the result.

If you then choose to enter your email under "want these fixed?", we receive that email address along with the website you audited and its score, so we know what to write back about.

The TT chat assistant

Whatever you type into the chat bubble gets sent (along with the recent messages in that conversation, for context) to our server, which passes it to Anthropic's Claude to generate the reply. Please don't put passwords, card numbers, or anything sensitive into it — it's a sales assistant, not a secure channel.

Technical logs

Like every website, requests to this site pass through our hosting providers, who keep their own automatic server logs — things like IP address, browser type, and which page was requested. We don't build these into profiles and we don't use them for marketing.

2. Why we collect it

One reason: to reply to you and, if you hire us, to do the work. That's the whole list. We don't sell your information, we don't rent it, and we don't hand it to advertisers or data brokers.

We only email you about the thing you contacted us about. You're not signed up to a newsletter or a drip sequence by filling in a form here.

3. Who else touches it

We're a small studio, so we use a few well-known services to run the site. Each one only sees what it needs to:

Beyond those, nobody. No third-party ad pixels, no Facebook tracking, no session recorders, no embedded fonts or scripts pulled from other companies' servers — the fonts and code on this site are served from this domain.

4. Cookies and browser storage

Google Analytics sets a small number of first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) so it can tell repeat visits from new ones and measure how people use the site. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking cookies, and no cookie is set until you actually load a page. See the Analytics section below for what Google Analytics itself collects.

It does use two small pieces of browser storage, which stay on your device and are never sent to us:

Clearing your browser's site data for tystechllc.com removes both.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to see, in aggregate, which pages get visited and roughly how — not to identify you individually. It records things like which page you're on, what device/browser you're using, and approximately where you're visiting from (Google Analytics is designed not to store your full IP address). It does not know your name or email unless you've separately given it to us through a form. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy, linked at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all sites using Google's browser add-on, or block it with most ad-blocking/privacy browser extensions.

5. How long we keep it

Form submissions stay in Netlify's form storage and, for contact-form leads, in the TT Assistant CRM. There is no automatic deletion schedule configured today — a message you send us stays until we delete it, the way an email you send would.

Chat conversations are not saved in your browser; the transcript is gone as soon as you close or refresh the page. Hosting logs are kept and rotated on our providers' own schedules, which we don't control.

If you want your information gone sooner, just ask — see below.

6. Getting a copy, or getting deleted

Email casconety@gmail.com with "Privacy request" in the subject and tell us what you want:

We'll confirm as fast as we can, usually within a business day. We don't charge for this and we won't make you jump through hoops. We may need to check you're the person the data belongs to before we act on it — normally that just means replying from the same email address.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, form data travels encrypted, and traffic between our site and the CRM is signed so submissions can't be forged. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise — but we don't store anything on this site itself, and we keep the collected surface as small as possible on purpose.

8. Children

This site sells web design services to businesses. It isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this page

If we start collecting something new — analytics, a booking tool, anything — we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above. There's no version where we quietly start doing more than what's written here.
